Onion Collective & Biohm

Onion Collective want to regenerate their home town of Watchet, and create a new industry to provide jobs and benefit the local community. R&D social enterprise Biohm has an incredible new technology that uses a fungi called Mycelium to ‘eat’ hard-to-recycle plastic (yes really!) and grow into a non-plastic alternative to many more harmful plastic products such as insulation. This visionary partnership aims to develop the technology and bring it to market in a way that benefits and is led by the local community, and creates a ground breaking solution to problematic plastic waste.
